We couldn’t leave soon enough to escape the fireworks that started way early, before the sun went down on the third.
Camping starts like that sometimes. You start loading your vehicle at a pleasurable pace until time passes and you realized you miscalculated. So you start throwing things in haphazardly – knowing that when you get there you can reorganize it all anyways.
As we pulled out, the toddler next door was crying from the fireworks and my pup 9 hid between my seats. It was my fault I didn’t plan our travels far enough in advance and calculate that people are starting earlier.
I feel so blessed in finding an area I always wanted to go to and was assured there would be no fireworks. I also took my two chickens – and during my travel heard of other people traveling with their chickens to avoid the highly dangerous illegal fireworks. My Bellas didn’t act bothered at all and did perfectly fine throughout the trip. It was a great family trip.
We found bliss in the high desert. The night sky was jaw dropping and the landscape magnificent. The local police officer came around and talked about fire safety – as a fire had already started locally even after a ban. I was amazed at the scenery and peacefulness and we can’t wait to go back. The pups LOVED it.
You know you are on the right road when you meet someone like Emma. As I was pulling in, she was coming out of the store. Who doesn’t love a rock hound? In her hand was a Scooby Doo purse.
In these trying times, I always find comfort in that the universe provides. Never give up on your goals and the pursuit of purpose and peace. Our site traffic is way up. I don’t mind sharing the struggles and joys we all may experience. People also ask a lot of great questions.
This last week I have been blessed in meeting total strangers and having that shared bond, whether during my travels, home renovations, or even a jail cell. This is just between us, though.
Never have fear or shame in speaking out. It should be a fundable right to liberty without retaliation. I still believe in the good in the world.
